What is the LED Comb?
The LED Comb is a scalp care tool that combines LED & RP technology in order to treat & prevent issues such as hair loss, hair thinning, dandruff, scalp acne & more.
It can be used by itself or with a hair oil or serum deposited into the removable black well in the center.
The LED Comb has been found to improve hair growth, thickness & length as well as treat dandruff and other scalp conditions.
How do I use the LED Comb?
Fully charge your LED Comb before the first use using the included cord.
Optional: add hair oil. Lift up the rubber flap on the central black well from the back of the comb. Use a dropper to deposit your hair oil into the circular hole. Securely replace the flap.
Detangle your hair with a normal hair brush.
Hold down the power button for 1-2 seconds. The comb will turn on. Press the LED button to select your desired setting. Press the RP button to increase the intensity of the RP setting. It automatically starts at level 1 and goes up to level 4. Start low and build your way up over time.
Gently press the comb to the scalp so that the teeth are in full contact with the skin. Comb in the direction of your natural hair growth. Go over each section 3-5 times.
The LED Comb will automatically shut off after 10 minutes. To turn it off before then, simply hold the power button for 4-5 seconds.
Does it hurt?
No, using the LED Comb is not painful. You may or may not experience a slight tingling sensation from the vibrations of the electrical currents. If this feels too intense for you, simply select a lower setting. It is still effective.
Which settings should I use?
If you are using your LED Comb with a hair oil, it is recommended to use the pulsed LED setting (4th one).
If not, it is a matter of personal preference.
For the RP settings, it is recommended to start at the lowest setting and increase over time as feels comfortable to you.
How do I clean the LED Comb?
Be sure the device is turned off. Wipe gently with a soft wet cloth or alcohol wipe and then wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Store in a cool, dry place.
To clean the oil well, pop it out by pressing on it from the back of the comb. Rotate the flap so the circular hole is exposed. Clean the well with soap and water. Rinse well and drain all liquid from inside the well. Allow to dry fully. Replace well in comb by inserting it through the front side of the comb.
What is that beeping noise?
The LED Comb beeps every time you change a setting.
It also beeps once every minute for your convenience.
It does a double beep at the halfway point of the cycle (the 5-minute mark).
The LED Comb automatically shuts off at the end of the 10-minute cycle.
How often should I use my LED Comb?
For best results, use it once a day for the entire 10-minute cycle.
If you want to use it more than once a day, leave at least 5 hours in between sessions.
When will I notice results?
Results will build over time as the LED Comb is used consistently.
You should start to notice initial positive results after 2-4 weeks of daily usage.
Assess again after 6-8 weeks, and again at 10-12 weeks.
Pictures are very useful in monitoring your progress.
Is it safe?
The LED Comb is not safe for people who have undergone cardiac surgery or have a medical electronic device such as a pacemaker or an embedded defibrillator placed inside the body. It is not intended for use on or by children.
Does it come with a hair oil?
No, you are welcome to use any hair oil or serum that you already own and love. We'll have our own for you soon :)
