How it works

The Auraleus Cold Iron works in combination with your favorite conditioner or hair mask, using ultrasonic and infrared technology to deeply infuse moisture and nutrients—without heat damage.

Here’s how:

  1. Apply Your Treatment – Use your favorite conditioner or hair mask on damp hair.
  2. Ultrasonic Activation – The ultrasonic plate vibrates 30,000x per second, breaking treatments into tiny vaporized particles.
  3. Infrared Penetration – The infrared plate opens the hair cuticle so nutrients absorb deep into each strand.
  4. Lock & Restore – When the Cold Iron is pulled away, cuticles seal shut, locking in moisture and nutrients for stronger, shinier hair.

Instructions

  1. Steam Test: Test if your Cold Iron is ready for use by placing a few water droplets on the plates and then holding the plates 1-2cm apart. If a little steam is created, it's ready to use!

  2. Wet Method: A deep rehabilitative process for highly damaged hair. Saturate damp hair with a conditioner or hair mask, and then gently run the Cold Iron over each thin section 3-5 times. Rinse & style as desired. Repeat weekly or monthly.
  3. Dry Method: A quick everyday treatment for staying soft & sleek. Apply hair oil to dry hair and gently iron ends only or all over. Perfect way to keep ends smooth between washes. Seals in hydration and fresh scents for head-turning hair.

How do I use my Cold Iron?

The Wet Method: Apply a hair mask to clean, damp hair. Gently run Cold Iron over thin sections. Rinse hair mask out. (Can always be used on wet hair with no hair mask).

The Dry Method: Apply leave-in conditioner or hair oil to dry hair. Gently iron thin sections to press the moisture into your hair.

Never use your Cold Iron on dry hair alone. It must always be paired with a conditioning agent or water.

Is it safe?

Yes, our Cold Iron is completely safe. It does not apply any direct heat to the hair which can damage the cuticle. View our safety recommendations here.

Does it work for all hair types?

Yes, the Cold Iron is suitable for hair types 1A-4C. It will simply moisturize the hair on a deeper level.

What are the control buttons?

Hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn the iron on or off.

The + and - keys are for adjusting the length of the ultrasonic vibrations. Select between 2-18 seconds. The cycle resets after each interval. Choose the length of time it takes you to iron one full section of your hair.

When will I notice results?

The results of the Cold Iron are cumulative and build over time. However, you will notice results after one use, especially with the Dry Method.

Can it be used with any conditioner?

Yes! Use with any leave-in conditioner, hair mask, hair oil, or just water! The Cold Iron pushes it inside your hair and locks it in.

I've only used my cold iron for the first time a couple days ago but my hair is so soft and shiny! I posted a pic for everyone to see. I used the wet method. I will also try the dry method later and continue with the wet method to see if it really helps with split ends but so far I am impressed! I wasn't expecting such a good result after one use. I highly recommend buying this. I was on the fence about it and I got my bonus from work and decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did! Thank you Auraleus!
